Delete Your Hifzan Account

Hifzan ("we," "us," or "our") provides every user the ability to permanently delete their Hifzan account and the personal data associated with it. This page describes how to request deletion, what data is deleted, and what data is retained.

How to request deletion

Account deletion is performed directly within the Hifzan application:

  1. Open the Hifzan app on your device.
  2. Sign in to the account you wish to delete.
  3. Open the side menu and tap Settings.
  4. Tap Profile.
  5. Tap Delete Account.
  6. Confirm the deletion when prompted. Your account will be queued for permanent deletion immediately.

Data that will be deleted

Upon successful processing of your deletion request, the following data will be permanently removed from our active systems within thirty (30) days:

  • Your account profile, including name, email address, and unique user identifier;
  • All recitation audio recordings uploaded to our servers;
  • Memorization progress, plans, sessions, and review history;
  • User-configured settings and preferences;
  • Achievement and milestone records;
  • Any in-app feedback or bug reports you submitted while signed in.

Data that may be retained

For legal, security, fraud-prevention, and accounting reasons, a limited subset of data may be retained after account deletion:

  • Subscription and payment records may be retained for up to seven (7) years to comply with tax, accounting, and consumer-protection regulations. These records are managed by our payment processors (Apple App Store, Google Play, and RevenueCat) under their respective retention policies;
  • Anonymized or aggregated analytics that cannot be used to re-identify you may be retained indefinitely for service-improvement purposes;
  • Backup snapshots may contain your data for up to ninety (90) days after deletion before they are overwritten in the normal backup rotation.

Timeline

Most deletion requests are completed within a few business days. By regulation, we commit to completing the deletion of all eligible data within thirty (30) days of receiving a verified request. We will notify you by email when the deletion is complete.

Subscriptions

Deleting your Hifzan account does not automatically cancel any active subscription managed by Apple App Store or Google Play. To avoid future charges, please cancel your subscription separately through your device's subscription management screen before deleting your account:

  • iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Hifzan → Cancel Subscription;
  • Android: Google Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Hifzan → Cancel.
